What type of surface preparation is required prior to coating?
Preparation varies by roof type and condition. Most roofs can be cleaned with a pressure washer, but some may need specific cleaners. A primer may also be required depending on the substrate and coating chemistry.

What roof surfaces can be coated with Inland products?
Inland products are compatible with most conventional roofing materials, including metal, aged single-ply membranes (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Hypalon), modified bitumen, BUR (asphalt), concrete, and spray polyurethane foam (SPF). Consult product data sheets for details.

Do I have to do a full coating job or can I just do repairs?
Although the durability of a full system application is the best option, in many cases a full system restoration is not needed. Inland offers several maintenance and repair products to fit the needs of almost any roof repair situation.
Do you need a primer?
Primer requirements vary by chemistry and substrate. They may be needed for rust inhibition, asphalt bleed-through prevention, or improved adhesion. See product specifications for guidance.
Can I coat my skylights?
Yes. We offer several different coatings designed specifically for skylight applications.
Do you carry colors other than white?
Yes, several of our roof coatings (top/finish coat) come in multiple colors and some can even be made custom colors given the appropriate timeline and volume.
