Do I need to remove the AC unit and vents before coating?

You don’t need to remove them, but you may need to temporarily remove the cover or mask them off carefully with painter’s tape and plastic sheeting to avoid getting coatings and sealants in undesired areas. Pay special attention to sealing around the bases of all rooftop fixtures — these are the most common leak points on RV roofs.

How do I prepare my RV roof before coating?

Proper roof preparation is critical: Clear the roof of all debris Clean thoroughly with an RV Roof Wash cleaner/degreaser Rinse completely and allow to dry fully Inspect and repair any cracks, tears, or seam separations with sealant, butyl fabric tape or polyester fabric Mask off vents, AC units, and other fixtures Allow all repairs to cure before coating
