Silicone Coatings Give You More Options
Inland is known worldwide for dependable SEBS rubber coatings, but […]
When the City of Richmond, British Columbia, came to Inland, they feared the worst. With a high degree of rust and multiple leaks at seams and penetrations, they believed a tear-off was the only option for their 20-plus-year-old commercial metal roof. Knowing how disruptive and costly a tear-off would be for operations, the city searched for an alternative.
An inspection confirmed the roof was structurally sound and an excellent candidate for a fluid-applied membrane. Our sales representative, Bob Furness, partnered with Cascade Roofing & Waterproofing to restore the commercial roof while meeting both budget requirements and long-term performance needs.
Instead of replacing more than 17,000 square feet of metal roofing, we developed a restoration plan using a four-step elastomeric roof coating system backed by a 10-year system warranty. The process included:
The SEBS rubber roof coating system required no special primers, making the application fast, easy, and efficient. These ENERGY STAR-rated elastomeric coatings deliver up to 87% solar reflectance, high elongation and tensile strength for long-term durability and corrosion protection.
After application, our team and City of Richmond personnel inspected the roof to confirm it met warranty standards. The city avoided a complete tear-off and gained an affordable solution that significantly extended the life of their metal roof.
