Preparation varies by roof type and condition. Most roofs can be cleaned with a pressure washer, but some may need specific cleaners. A primer may also be required depending on the substrate and coating chemistry.
Although the durability of a full system application is the best option, in many cases a full system restoration is not needed. Inland offers several maintenance and repair products to fit the needs of almost any roof repair situation.
Primer requirements vary by chemistry and substrate. They may be needed for rust inhibition, asphalt bleed-through prevention, or improved adhesion. See product specifications for guidance.
Yes. We offer several different coatings designed specifically for skylight applications.
Yes, several of our roof coatings (top/finish coat) come in multiple colors and some can even be made custom colors given the appropriate timeline and volume.
A cool roof is a roof that strongly reflects visible, infrared and UV rays of the sun, dramatically reducing the temperature of the roof. Lower roof temperatures reduce air conditioning costs, minimize deterioration from exposure to the elements, and reduce heat-related expansion and contraction problems. Cool roofs also lower the heat transfer from the roof to the air, reducing the urban heat island effect.
Extended life of the current roof membrane/surface, improved energy savings, easy maintenance, and minimal business interruption during application.
We do not recommend our coating be applied to an asphalt shingled roof because shingles move, shift and curl a bit. If this happens, the coating could get punctured and this in turn would allow water to enter.
