Metal Roof Coatings Engineered to Last
With prolonged exposure to sun and weather, metal roofing systems inevitably deteriorate over time — developing leaks, rust and corrosion. Years of heat-related expansion and contraction also loosen seams and fasteners, potentially damaging the roof and building structure. Whether you have a new metal roof or one in need of reinforcements, you can protect it and extend its lifespan with Inland’s easy-to-apply SEBS and Silicone roof coatings.
Benefits of Metal Roof Restoration With Inland Coatings
When it comes to protecting metal roofs, durability, energy savings and corrosion resistance are key. Here’s why you should choose Inland Coatings:
Application Guidelines for Metal Roofs
We partner with contractors to complete all metal roof coating projects. Contractors provide all the necessary materials, tools and labor to complete the job. Our four-step processes are easy to follow, with no primers required for application. Simply clean, seal, prep and apply to the roof.
Step 1 – Clean
Power wash the roof at 3,000 psi and remove loose dirt and debris.
Step 2 – Seal
Apply RC-2250 Repair Product to all seams, fasteners and penetration points.
Step 3 – Prep
Apply RC-2013 Base Coat to the entire roof surface at 1 gallon per 100 square feet.
Step 4 – Coat
Apply RC-2014 Top Coat to the entire roof surface at 1 gallon per 100 square feet.
How to 3 Course your Seams & Fasteners
You can 3 course by applying a layer of RC 2250 Premium Seam Compound, a layer of reinforced membrane such as Inland Coatings RPM Polyester Mesh and then another layer of RC 2250. For best results, we recommend 3 coursing for gaps larger than 1/8″.
Materials Needed:
- RC 2250 Seam Compound
- Inland Coatings RPM Polyester Mesh
- Brush or Roller for application
